Saint Thomas Aquinas, no one knows when he
was born but people figured out that it had to be around 1225. He was born in
Aquino a small city in southern Italy. The family of Thomas Aquinas was a noble
one, his parents, the Count of Aquino and Countess of Teano, were related to
Emperors Henry VI and Frederick II, as well as to the Kings of Aragon, Castile,
and France. During his early education Thomas exhibited great acumen in the
medieval trivium of grammar, rhetoric, and logic. Saint thomas Aquinas was a
noble priest in the Roman Catholic Church during the Middle Ages. He was also a
philosopher which is a person engaged or learned in philosophy. He was also a
theologian which is a person who engages or is an expert in theology. Saint
Thomas Aquinas was significant because he helped push towards the Rennaisance by
bringing back the philosophy of Aristotle to the West. His writing used
Aristotle's philosphy to interpret Christianity. Later on he died on the date
March 7, 1274.
